Donation Guidelines

Help us to achieve the best value for our causes and save the disposal cost of unsale-able items.

Clothes - mark free, clean and largely undamaged. Underpants are out.

Shoes - barely worn condition. People are second hand shoe fussy.

Books - old textbooks struggle, everything else sells.

Videos, DVDs – we won’t sell those with gratuitous violence. Genuine copies only.

Household goods / bric-a-brac - unbroken is best. Clean if you can but don’t fret on that score.

Linen, bedding - needs to be mostly clean. Blankets can be scruffy (for use as pet blankets).

Jewellery is welcome. Hard to go wrong there.

CDs, records - genuine copies only.

We cannot accept:

Mains powered electricals - we can’t safety test them.

Large furniture - our shop is only little! That said if you can store it at your place, we can sell it on eBay.

The best test is to ask yourself ‘would I pay for this?' Thanks so much for thinking of us.
